ALSA Malaysia Law Review Competition 2020

I examined the civil rights of LGBTQ community in Malaysia in the context of Federal Constitution. I expressed my views on the decriminalization of same-sex relationship, the legalization of same-sex marriage, and the right to recognition of LGBTQ community.

KL Bar e-Moot Court Competition 2020

Lead Counsel

I contested the legality of a hypothetical Fatwa regarding an illegitimate child's right to be ascribed his biological father's name. I explored the possibility of arguments based on legal power and fundamental liberties.

Internal Client Consultation UUM 2020

Second Runner-up

I continued to develop my interviewing and counseling skills. While acknowledging their concerns and having the right response at the right time, I learned to actively engage with the clients. It is necessary to gain the confidence of the clients in order to enable them to engage willingly in the consultation process.

KL Bar –Lincoln’s Inn Alumni Moot Court Competition 2019

It was a great experience in which I had the opportunity to make an argument in a real court setting. We have dealt with both the issue of natural justice and the constitutionality of Shariah Advisory Council.

This is the very first time I have participated in a Client Consultation Competition. I have learned to discover the needs and concerns of the clients by making them feel secure so that I can give them the best possible support and advice.

This is the first mooting competition I entered and I had to do research on areas of law that I had not yet been taught. I eventually examined and addressed several points on the issues of contract and corporate law.
